I came across a Pierce Arrow anecdote on the Classical drive. The narrator remembers him and his friend Chuck Downer sitting in a similar car’s front seat and pretending to drive whilst taking turns.

The narrator was highly impressed by its long hood and the stately appearance and more by its headlights flared into the fenders, which created an aerodynamic effect, a rarity in the vehicles of those days.

The Pictured Pierce Arrow was captured by the raconteur at The Pebble Peach prior to The 1936 Sedan being offered in the Kruse International Auction. It went for something around $ 1,50,000 and the narrator laments this situation in the concluding lines; that little did he realize ,the sedan in which he and chuck use to play will ever fetch such a whooping price ,as it was available for a mere $ 175 in those days .
