If you looked at a trick shot of this and thought that this actually is good enough to take to the skies and rule the world from up there then it would be real hard to blame you. The Gendron Air King of 1940 is a pedal-powered vehicle that cruised on the street more than five decades ago and it is amazing how one enthusiast of pedal powered machines picked it up from a wreck show and restored it to its past magnificence with some brilliant work put in. The Gendron Air King looks like a royal king after the bling is back on.

Rick Leroy is a man who is admittedly crazy about pedal-powered machines. He likes to have his own collection of the best antique pedal powered stuff and when he was out looking for more such vehicles he accidentally stumbled upon the Air King. It indeed takes a trained eye to identify it from a truckload of trash, but with Leroy’s experience in the department it was a closed deal. He bought it with one wing missing and in not so great condition for good $ 1000!

Obviously not satisfied with what he had, he gave the Air King for complete restoration after checking it for authenticity. The redone Air King of Rick Leroy indeed looks like a pedal-powered machine that one would like a short trip in. It is still missing one wing though!
