2008 Odyssey has received subtle changes in its exterior and interior. Engine for the minivan also gets more fuel-efficient and more gadgets find themselves in the Odyssey.

Exteriors are bolder, with six-sided grille design and a front bumper fascia. Interiors receive premium fabric for the seating surfaces and new colors for the instrument panel.

Odyssey is spacious; the total interior volume measures 209.8 cubic feet including passenger and cargo volume, while the cargo volume is 38.4 cubic feet with three rows of seats installed. An addition is the presence of a storage bin, which is integrated in the second row seats.

Two engine variations are available through the Odyssey lineup, a 3.5L SOHC VTEC that produces 244hp and 240lb-ft of torque. This engine delivers a highway fuel economy of 23mpg. Odyssey EX-L and Touring models come equipped with a 3.5L SOHC i-VTEC with VCM. It produces a power of 241hp and a torque of 242lb-ft. Highway fuel economy of this engine is rated at 25mpg.

Odyssey has a 5-star crash safety rating for frontal and side impacts. The vehicle has a number of airbags and Occupant Protection Detection System (OPDS). Air Conditioning, tilt and telescope steering wheel, keyless entry and cruise control are present for comfort and safety.

Available premium gadgets include Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice recognition, an 8-inch screen, a Honda DVD Entertainment System with a 9-inch screen and a rearview camera with display monitor embedded in the rear view mirror.
