It seems BMW and Audi must be feeling in secure as Lexus unveiled its incredible IS-F luxury sedan at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. The car has a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces more than 400 horsepower and 350 ft-lbs. of torque giving the car the ability to gain a furious speed of 0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. The rare wheel drive combined with a double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension ensures great drivability.
It can deliver you with smoothest driving experience with its torque-converter lock-up control that enables crisp gear change. The IS-F engine is mated to the world’s first eight-speed “direct sport-shift” transmission. Automated throttle blips will let with a smooth Downshift of gear as it matches engine RPM to vehicle speed. Heavy-duty Brembo breaks with 14.2-inch discs and six-piston calipers makes the decelerating system just the perfect one to control its undisputed power. Further, 19-inch forged alloy wheels add on to it exclusive looks. I don’t have an idea of its cost but I can ensure you it must be costly.
