It drew first blood with its competitors like Pontiac G6, Toyota Camry, and Honda Accord at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year and one could sense that a production version would add to heat. Now the pricing of the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe has been announced and what we have on hand is a car that offers a lot at an evenhanded price.

Beginning with the lowest variant of this first two-door Altima from Nissan, the 2.5-liter , four cylinder ‘S’ Trim with a six speed manual transmission is priced at $ 20,490 and if any of you feel lazy to maneuver those gears you can opt for the X Tronic CVT Transmission for $500 extra .

Talking about the other variant, the more powerful SE version with a 3.5- liter V6 engine is priced at $24,890 for the manual version and $25,390 for the X Tronic Version. The lower variant delivers 175 horses and the higher boasts of 270 horses at 258lb-ft of torque.

The X Tronic feature has been highly appreciated and with an entry-level coupe having so much on offer, I definitely feel it has the potential to not only challenge the likes of Accord and Camry but also oust the more famous ones like the Mustang from Ford, What Say!
