BMW has unveiled production model of the hot-selling M3 for the 2009 model year. The new BMW will reach the market in mid-2008 as a 2009 model. Unveiling of the new M3 coupe comes only a few weeks after the company showed the M3 concept at the Geneva Auto show.
The new M3 will be a machine with huge power. This car will be powered by a 4.0L V8 engine that will produce 420hp and 295 lbs-ft of torque. Transmission is a six-speed manual. Back of the car will have the signature M3 badge. Engine of the M3 has two more cylinders than its predecessors, and it has managed to put off some weight.
M3 coupe will have competition from Lexus IS-F, Audi RS5, and Mercedes CLK63 AMG. Sedan and convertible versions are expected to follow the coupe, but will be available by late 2008.
M3 is nearly a bestseller and sales are going up. Demand for the M3 can be gauged from the fact that all M3s in UK for this year have been sold already and aspiring buyers will have to wait till next year. Some car!
