If you were thinking that the prices of new and fancy cars were coming down, think again! The first 2009 Corvette ZR1 has been recently sold at an auction, at a jaw-dropping price of $1,000,000. Now that’s not a cheap car, by any stretch of the imagination!
This rather sleek-looking car has been acquired by Dave Ressler, the same person who had bought the oldest 1953 Corvette at Barrett-Jackson a couple of years ago, at precisely the same price too. This indeed speaks volumes about the guy’s love and passion for classic cars, apart from indicating a thing or two about his financial status!
All the sale-proceeds of the 2009 Corvette ZR1 would be passed on to The United Way. The amount by which the list price of this car exceeds $99,999 will also be granted tax-exemption.
