The Yamaha V-Max has for long been a mean, naked muscle bike that most motorcyclists dreaded to ride because of it’s extremely punchy, almost uncontrollable power delivery. Matters further got compounded with the big V4 engine of the V-Max getting the V-boost technology that actually connected all the four carbs to make the V-Max hurtle forward like a raging, drunk elephant. Now, we have wild rumors doing the rounds all around cyberspace stating that the 2009 V-Max will have more than 200 horses at it’s rear wheel. That is some real muscle and the V-Max certainly deserves it, especially considering it’s iconic brute bike reputation.
This time around the big mutha will come with electronic fuel injection which might largely curb the wild nature of the V-Max but I sincerely hope that Yamaha do nothing to curb the wild, brutish power delivery the V-Max was always famous for. The 2009 V-Max’s styling too looks apart with plenty of sculpted metal muscle making the V-Max look big, brutish and muscular. Let’s brace ourselves for this veritable bad boy of the biking world which will see an official launch on the 4th of June. Stick around for more buzz.
