Saab has nearly completed the development work of its crossover, to be called the Saab 9-4X. It is likely that we will see the new model in Detroit Motor Show next year. This car will share its platform with a similar model from Cadillac.
Both vehicles will get a diesel engine that GM has produced with VM Motori. This engine is a V6 and produces 250hp and a massive 550Nm of torque. A choice of gasoline engines will also be available.
The 9-4X will be built in Mexico, alongside the similar Cadillac and will be available in Europe and USA. 9-4X will also have Saab’s new XWD traction system that was introduced in the Turbo X recently revealed at Frankfurt.
