This is the height of it! I haven’t seen many cars in my life that come with more style than this dump truck. Ok, I have seen cars that are more stylish, but then they are cars. They are supposed to be the ones in which we pick up our girl & drive her around. This is a dump truck, it just picks up trash. On second thought though, there ain’t much difference. But I don’t want to be choked to death, so I’ll reserve making any further comparisons.

Mitsubishi presents this stunningly gorgeous dump truck called the Canter Eco-D. It runs both on a hybrid diesel & electric engine. The truck has a 3.0 liter engine Diesel engine along with a 35KW electric motor. The vehicle can run on both of them simultaneously & is very eco-friendly. When the truck is in a static mode; that is during the pick up or dumping of trash, it runs only on the electric engine only. This automatic switch to the electric engine allows for zero-emissions in the static mode.

The dump truck (& I still call that with a slight lump in my throat, this ain’t no dump truck) is very easy on the environment & helps prevent pollution. It saves a lot of fossil fuel & this beauty is expected to hit the roads by 2009. The company released statement says,

The expansive glass roof above the driver incorporates a state-of-the-art liquid crystal laminate that adjusts the level of sun screening in line with the strength of the sunlight. In addition to regulating the proportion of light transmitted, harmful rays are cut in proportion to the levels of infrared and ultraviolet light. This provides fine control of the cabin temperature, and contributes to energy saving by optimizing air conditioner usage, even when working under a hot sun.

Now, I don’t know if many cars in the world are that good & measure up to those driver convenience standards. Here is a fine way to dump your next date, in case you happen to not like the way it’s going! (Yes, I’m not very sensitive, welcome to my world.)
