The ideas of space, design and commuting are constantly being challenged with the next generation designers and engineers bringing both form and functionality together in the most spectacular of forms. Commuting across the city for work or to run errands has always been viewed in the same fashion as any other and most designers and car makers tend to ignore or overlook the specific features that it demands. Modern designers are making sure that they do not make the same mistake by designing cars that are task-oriented and target a specific consumer.

Dr. Mitchell Joachim’s design of the modern city commuter is something that shatters the traditional convention of design and dynamics of a car. The car is specific for city commuting and hence does away with other unnecessary features making it more space-conscious and spectacular. It is about serving the needs of the consumer without trying to dump every available feature in the same machine. This is indeed smart marketing and smarter designing. It almost transcends the sphere of engineering and enters the world of art.

The design aims at making the travel across the city in a day a lot more convenient and a lot easier. It is all about being simple and compact rather than pompous and extravagant. That does not mean that these machines are going to go unnoticed either. Just take a look for yourself!

Great creation. But think of the cost of this car and also I’m more on the safety when it comes to vehicles. This one is a next-generation commuting car but looks like very soft.

I think you just happen to assume that something that looks soft in texture when as a CG image should actually end up so. The car might give you that impression but rest assured that no modern car is being designed by compromising on the safety aspects. Otherwise it just will not hit the road.
