Many car enthusiasts are waiting to catch a glimpse of the new Chevrolet Volt that is expected to be churned out of the workshop of General Motors. Though there has been no official release of the images of the Chevrolet Volt from GM, a news team from Detroit managed to get the picture of a portion of the car’s front fascia.
Nothing proper could be deducted from the picture except a portion of the front fascia, but its aerodynamics feature somewhat seem to be evident from the image. GM wants to launch its electric car within a few years. The initial plan was to keep the production design true to the concept, but when wind tunnel tests showed that the vehicle was not as aerodynamic, changes had to be made.
Nonetheless, GM is confident to bring its new concept alive, where charged batteries and full tank of gases will run the Volt for up to 640 miles with 40 miles covered by battery alone. We have to wait until 2010 when the $30,000 Chevrolet Volt will hit the road.
