The creators of the paper V12 engine say it took two years of hard labour and perhaps truckloads of paper to reach the final objective. This engine is made of high-quality acid-free heavy paper that doesn’t turn brittle or yellow and is long lasting. The model does use some materials other than paper, 12 LEDs take up the roll of spark plugs and light up according to the cycle. Wood sticks, tapes, a motor, electric wires and switches are also included in this model.
This paper engine has moveable parts include a compound crankshaft, a rapid cooling fan, rods and pistons. DIY kit for the product comes with 595 pages (whew!) of diagrams and instructions.
