The Nardo speed track in Italy has been witness to many record attempts. Cars come to Nardo every year for the event organized under the supervision of Continental AG and editors of Auto Bild Sportscars.
AC Schnitzer brought its concept car, the LPG powered GP3.10 GAS POWERED. This vehicle is based on the BMW 3-series coupe and carries a modified M5 engine. The bivalent 10-cylinder engine is capable of delivering an impressive 552hp.
GP3.10 proved that vehicles based on alternative fuel can be fast and powerful; it lapped the 13km speed track with the digital instrument reading at 318.1 kmph. This makes the GP3.10 the fastest gas powered car in the world.
