The Airbia concept from designers Alexandros Tsolakis and Irene Shamma tackles the problems of commuting and transport from suburbs to urban centers and vice versa. Mostly, the roads between suburbs and urban centers are choked with traffic, so the designers solve the problem by getting off those roads in an environmentally friendly solution.
The Airbia concept sees commuters using airships for travel. These airships can move at a good 93mph and go as high as 1,640 feet above the earth. Airbia airships will float using helium, for an environmental touch. The system will include many small docks or nodes to provide an easily accessible transport medium.
