A prototype Airboat is up for auction on eBay, with the starting bid standing at $30,000. The airboat gets an aircraft type undercarriage and claims to reach speeds up to 60mph over water and 100mph on ice. A four-bladed ground adjustable shrouded system fan keeps it above the ground, with a maximum 3000 rpm coming from the BMW engine. It sounds like an interesting idea, and the seller is willing to provide patterns, molds and specifications as well, at extra cost of course.
