When Alfa Romeos concept version of a convertible 8C Competizone hit the deck at 2005 Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance in Monterery it created huge ripples in the auto world. There were some huge speculations regarding it making to a production version alongside its Coupe sibling.
Until now there was no official confirmation regarding its making to the production line-up, but now Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne decided that it is enough with the assumptions as he revealed that that the 8C spider will be making it to the market in 2009.
The sale for the Coupe version has kick started in Europe from this month and the car will soon be making it to the US market, which will mark the return of the Alfa Romeo in the US market by the mid next year.
The coupe will bear a price tag of 165,000 Euro, while the convertible will be priced around 185,000 Euros. Only 500 units of the coupe will be making it to the market and the same number of convertibles is likely to reach the market.
