Must say, Simon Saunders, Owner of the Ariel Motor Company is a very smart man for the way he revealed everything and yet nothing regarding his Company’s plan of bringing out a motorcycle was a brainy act.
Saunders hinted at bringing out a motorcycle with a Single-Cylinder a couple of weeks back and that was his last take amongst the others when he said that it could be an electric bike, could be more lightweight and agile and could even be a single cylinder. We now have confirmation that the maker of the once famous, Atom is bringing out a Single- Cylinder eventually, sadly I couldn’t guess it.
Ariel was a sure popular bike maker almost four decades back as it made two-wheelers which were ahead of its time and thus the company gained popularity back then. Ariel would now try bringing back those days of glory by making a single-cylinder bike which would come with a supercharger.
Motorcycle News Quoted:
The idea is to make a bike easily adaptable to suit town riders, riding on fast roads and even track use just by changing handlebars and seats.
The design in the flick atop looks very promising and only time could tell whether it can raise Ariel to the same stature, Atom once did although my gut says you cannot rely on thumpers plus it has been a very long time anyone heard talking about the very company as a bike manufacturer.
