If you ordered an Aston Martin DBS now, it might take five years before you get the car! The company has received roughly 1500 orders for the hot new car and with a production figures standing at 300 cars per year, it means the DBS production lines are booked for the next five years.
The company is working on ways to increase production of the DBS and is also considering outsourcing to speed up things a bit. The overwhelming success has put Aston Martin’s further production plans in a quandary. The four-door Rapide, which was slated to hit the streets by 2009-2010, is likely to get delayed along with the DBX model which is likely to replace the Vanquish.
