At Geneva, Aston Martin has brought the luxury brand Lagonda back to life, in a crossover-like shape. The company sees Lagonda as something that will take luxury to new markets and territories, covering about 100 regions on the world map. It is targeted more at Russia and the emerging markets in India, China, South America and Africa.

While the Lagonda Concept is a departure from traditional Aston Martin (or for that matter, even Lagonda itself) design language, the automaker sees this four-wheel drive, four-seat car as the “luxury car of the future.” Moreover, it allows Aston Martin to go into crossovers and explore the market further, without having to rough up the “authentic, pure sports car” image of the brand.
