I was waiting for this one more desperately than the news of any other car rolling of the floor. Ask me why and you would have to follow the roots of the rivalry of droptops between Audi and BMW. The battle is definitely on.
Audi A5 convertible would be produced later this year in Neckarsulm, a city in northern Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, near Stuttgart. I wonder how far that is from the plant where the BMW 328i convertible is manufactured, its rivalry folks, so you got to think like that.
The soft tops of the A5 the S5 converties would be electric to make sure that an inch of extra fat doesn’t ruin the performance in any manner possible, giving them a slight edge over the 3series. So we have are syllabus cut out, it would be the A5 versus the 328i and the S5 against the 335i in 2009.
The manufactured version would debut in January and that is no news for the infamous leak, but what it means is that it would be January 2009 when two fantastic droptops would start eating up on each others sales.
