Audi is completing the A6 range with the RS6 as a direct competitor to BMW’s M5. Now these latest photos capture the station wagon (Avant) version of the RS6. While earlier spy photos showed the car completely covered with patterned tape, these shots show the car near production ready, with the only disguise being some tape over the front fenders to hide the exact shape of the fender flares.
Front-end styling of the Avant is similar to the sedan, with extra large air intakes in the front bumper. The strip of LED lights is also not used on the RS6. At the rear, the Avant also has the large oval exhaust pipes and the rear bumper diffuser as seen on the RS6 sedan.
Powered by the same V10 engine as the S6, but with some help of a turbo delivering about 520-550 bhp, this Audi is about to show M5’s and E63 AMG’s who will be the leader.
Q 7 V 12 TDi
Audi is making the final tests on the monster version of the Q7, the all mighty V12 TDI. This Q7 will have the power like a Caterpillar, and heritage from the 24-hour Race in Le Mans. The engine is developed out of the winning V12 TDIs which got Audi the victory in the famous race. This will be the first road legal passenger vehicle with the V12 TDI engine and with a massive 500 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque.
Rumours are saying that this beast will sprint to 100 km/h in less than 5.5 seconds. That’s over two seconds faster than the gas-powered Q7 4.2 V8. Design changes will be the big air intakes in the front and fenders that are a little wider; note the small black strips on the fender openings.
The car pictured here is completely undisguised except for a couple of thin black vertical-strips of metal at the outside edges of the front bumper’s lower air intakes. At the rear, it has a badge saying 4.2 TDI, but that is deliberately incorrect. The front-end styling shows that this is really the 6-liter V12 TDI, not the 4.2. The huge lower bumper air openings are on the V12 only.
