Nature has always captivated and challenged man since the ages and we have forever tried to attain complete control over it without any measure of success. Now we slowly are starting to realize the fact that nature has its own way of conducting things and instead of taking it as a challenge to conquer it well worth to look at it as a process set in motion by forces beyond our control. I think I have gone a bit tangential. Anyway, it is the Oceans and conquering the wide blue fathoms that has captivated man like nothing else since centuries. Now we have a car that is inspired by this quest to conquer it all.
I have always love Audi and its work and do feel that in the modern automobile industry the car’s significance is far too understated. The Audi has always had a sense of style and simplicity that is almost unmatched. Audi will be presenting a new concept version of its range topping Q7 that takes its inspiration from the world’s multimillion dollar mega-yachts. The new concept is labeled the Q7 Coastline and it features a unique pearl white finish that covers both the exterior and most of the cabin. The car quite simple looks stunning and is one of my personal favorites among the tons that I have looked through in the past couple of months.
The Coastline is based on the production V12 TDI Q7, which means it, gets the same widened wheel arches and new bumpers. In contrast to the production model, the casing for the exterior mirrors on the Coastline is white as well, and the single-frame radiator grill and the side air intake slots come in dark High Gloss Steel. The Audi Q7 Coastline is not as much about the intricate technical specifications as it is about the sheer look that it carries. It is all about the look both on the outside and the inside.

Inside, the cabin has been dressed up with embroidered floor mats made of fine wool, and pillar trim, roof lining, seat upholstery made of plush velvet and Valcona leather. Adding to the maritime theme is the aluminum highlights, brown leather piping on the seats and door inserts, American walnut veneer used on parts of the armrest, gearshift lever knob and the inner door sill, and dark smoked oak used for the floor of the luggage compartment and seat backs. Basically the car interiors are something to go around raving about.

If you still want to know what you are getting in regards to the engine then under the hood is the same 500hp (368kW) V12 TDI diesel as the standard model, delivering peak torque of 1,000Nm (757.56 lb-ft) from between 1,750 and 3,000rpm. As a result, the vehicle sprints from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in just 5.5 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph). The Coastline is a wonderful, wonderful car and is something I would love to own for the sheer fact that it is draped in pristine white with such class and poise. The fact that I would not mind owning a car that is not Ferrari (even hypothetically speaking), is still saying a lot!
