Audi unveils its latest attempt of iPod integration in its Audi S8. The new system, replaced the MMI system in the A3, A4, S4 and RS4 models, with builds of Audi Music interface (AMI).
This system gets on with full functionality with the iPod, but other MP3 players need some more wire to work in your car. A media slot is present next to the CD changer on the A6, S6, A8 and S8 models, providing a slide out drawer to hold your iPod.
The factory-equipped option of AMI will be available in the beginning of November and the retrofit version will be available in early 2007.
This new system will obviously take more out of your pocket and a new car will cost you an additional $300 with it being equipped with the AMI.
