Audiovox has teamed up with Sony and created a new PS2 model especially for cars. The system looks like an in-car DVD player, with almost the same dimensions. The model comes equipped with a 10-inch LCD screen with a 16:9 display, headphones and a DVD remote. Sadly, the system won’t reach the markets until summer next year, when it will come bearing a price tag of $299.

wow nice! I hope the driver will not use it while driving :) to avoid road accidents.
What I have done for quite some time is taking a normal PS2(Also have an Xbox) and wire them to a power inverter(400W). The slimline PS2 doesn’t demand a whole lot of power and for a display, I’ve been using a 19 inch LCD screen that can easily be stowed in the trunk while not in use. Also, I’ve made straps to wrap around the back of the drivers seat to hold the TV in place.
This new PS2 though sounds really cool and I am going to defiantly give it a look at.
Nice price, I will buy one this afternoon.
