Carpooling is a bright idea, Carpool LED top lights, not so much. The concept by designers Xi Ouyang, Yuanbiao Jin, Yao Sun and Yelu Liu takes isn’t bad at heart, it is bad in practice. Carpool could be super efficient if all seats in the car are taken, and to take care of that part, the concept envisions top lights, quite similar to the bright yellow Taxi signs, that also clearly show the number of vacant seats in the car. So the carpool could let more people sit in, and people would know if there’s a vacant seat in the car. Also, an embedded fan harnesses energy from the wind to keep the lights running. And also, this is all quite dumb.
