Driving the latest cars on offer in the market is always a good-feeling, especially when you drive a model people have been talking about. The exclusivity factor is potent till the time those cars become common, but one way to keep the elusive factor alive for life is picking up on the first retail models-you can go about bragging that it is the first model to be sold for life, cant you!
If you live with this attitude, Barrett Jackson is offering you a perfect chance to add to it with a latest muscle in your garage. Come January and Barrett Jackson would auction three of the latest models to hit the market.
The first retailed 2009 Corvette ZR1, the very first 2008 Shelby GT 500 KR and the first production Dodge Challenger SRT8 would be the ones available for purchase at the auction. You cannot doubt the credentials of them being the latest ones, let me tell you that the 2009 Corvette is slated for a debut at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show and the auction follows a week later.
The proceeds generated from the sale of these ‘first cars’ would be donated for Charity. Money generated from the ZR1 would go to United Way, whilst the proceeds from the other two would go to JDRF and not MY KID charity foundation.
