In long drives, the best part is some good music with a rocking stereo system in a luxury car. Most comfort car manufacturers realize that to imagine a world of driving without music is a nightmare; they find is profitable to pair up with some good audio device manufacturers for this very purpose. Now, we got one more pair joining the league, Bentley and Naim.
Bentley has decided to pair up with Naim to make the world’s best stereo system (at least this is what the company claims). Naim, a relatively lesser known British stereo manufacture, develops stereos speakers with 80mm and 130mm mids, 200mm twin subwoofers and 25mm tweeters for the Bentley models with amplifiers of about 1,100 watts. It has even designed a DSP with some cutting-edge features like selecting the 8 DSP modes that turns the equalizer on to suit your speed. So the user can choose from the default ‘Audiophile’ to the one for MP3s.
If you had any doubt why on earth Bentley joined hands with Naim, then here it goes. Naim has extensive tested the Bentley models to check their acoustic levels. This exercise has left Bentley with the option to change the existing speakers and Naim has suggested for exclusive speaker configurations for the existing Bentley models.
However, according to this list, while the Lexus LS 600h need to get almost 19 new speakers, it is followed by Bentley Continental, which needs 15 speakers, with Brooklands, Azure and Arnage need almost 11 speakers each. Now this is what Bentley will get finally, Lexus with the 1,100-watt amplifier equipped with double-sided circuit board with 6 layers, would hence be the only car in production with such a powerful amplifier.
Sounds like the beginning of a great journey!
