Modern bikes are getting a lot sleeker and a lot crazier with each passing day. We are seeing the big boys of the two-wheeled world compete to produce that ultimate dream machine for every customer. This does not mean that every one of those bikes has to be a super bike. But they do need to add that ‘oomph’ factor to make sure that they stand away from the crowd. We are getting there as we move along on the exciting journey towards future of the big bikes.
Bimota have now upgraded the DB6 Delirio to an R version with some amazing new features. The all new R version is a lot lighter and a lot cooler than its older cousin. The DB6R Delirio gets forged aluminum wheels, Brembo 320mm discs, radial brake and clutch pumps, the 1100cc Ducati air-cooled L-twin (90bhp), slipper clutch and some carbon fiber replacements in the fairing. All in all 7 kilos lighter than the standard DB6 Delirio, the new R version really is a piece worth taking a look at.
The bike may not be a speed demon that would brush aside all competition, but it surely stands a lot better than the previous version. The design on this is unique and the color combination on the bike makes you wonder about geometry. It truly has a very original look and stands apart from the regular, big-muscle choppers and bikes.
