Public Transportation seems to be a real problem especially for the authorities. If only they looked at a couple of talented design students’ projects, they would get an idea as to which idea is best suited for a particular city. Ms. Shawn from Hong Kong has designed a concept public transportation system, which has been titled ‘The Personal Mover’ and is meant for short distance usage. It could be used at airports, universities, etc. It runs on bioelectric impedance technology and hence is green and would also work independently. It runs on fixed guide ways and also is great for those who love privacy and physical space. It also wouldn’t have a driver. All we can do is hope for our governments to set up transportation systems such as these.
