Don’t worry, these changes will not really be visible at the exterior. However, to comply with stricter pedestrian safety regulations, the body will be 80 mm longer. Much of the alterations would be seen in the mechanical area - a new high-tech engines range and a variety of direct injection four-valve petrol units are in the plans. Most noteworthy is the BMW and PSA Peugeot-Citroen co-developed 6-litre petrol engine with 110 kW and 240 N.m peak torque.

The interior is an area where one can expect changes too - to amend the Mini’s lack of space, the new generation Mini Traveller Estate will be designed to have ample room.



These changes are set to happen before the car’s debut at the Paris Motor Show later this year.
