Beginning September this year, BMW cars will come equipped with an enhanced voice recognition feature to make navigation control and audio settings easier. With the new system, a single voice command will suffice to set navigation system; the user only needs to speak the address, and the navigation system will process and understand the command.
The same concept applies to audio files as well, and the user can specify the song, the artist, the album, or even the genre to access the files desired. When the system launches, this function will be available only for the system’s hard disk, but by spring next year, it will grow to encompass files on a music player connected to the device.
