BMW has revealed the fifth concept car this year, the Concept1 Series tii. Revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show, the tii shares a good resemblance with the 1 Series Coupe that will go on sale in November, and gets its name from the BMW 2002tii; which wrote a big part of BMW’s success story in the ’60s and ’70s.

The concept has a carbon fibre bonnet and mirror caps, black-white front to rear decals, a blue trim and cool white body panels. The bumper and valence have been redesigned while the kidney grille gets a mesh and a potential to deliver more air to the engine and the braking system.

Side profile of the concept is very similar to the 1Series Coupe but for remodeled side sills and 18-inch five spoke alloy wheels finished in black chrome. The motosport focus on the exterior moves on to the interiors as well with bucket seats, three spoke sporty steering wheel and the instrument panel. Interiors also get a liberal covering of Alcantara.

BMW has remained quite about the drivetrain the concept will get or if it will ever graduate to production.
