Taking 30 metrics in 6 categories BMW heads the list of the Automotive Technology Index conducted by Telematics Research Group (TRG) of North America. Of course, BMW cars are cool; it aptly won this acclamation for using infotainment and driver assist technologies like lane-departure warning systems, iDrive and adaptive cruise control in their models.
BMW has successfully utilized these technologies in their BMW’s 7-Series beating Mercedes-Benz which fell to the second slot. Other brands like Cadillac, Infiniti and Lexus figured in the top five too.
