The Chinese Auto makers are surely conquering the global auto markets. Chery, which for a long time was dubbed as a copycat car maker, has finally got its big break as it will be making two cars for the American Giant Chrysler and now if that is not enough an evidence, you people got to check out the list of the cars which will feature in the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show .
BMW Z8’s successor will add to the limelight of the Shanghai fest as reported by Automotive News. The successor will be a concept car and will be speculatively dubbed the Z9, which should have conventionally been Z10.
The upcoming concept variant will be a coupe with a retractable hardtop. Under the hood will be a 5.0-liter V10 monster with an output of 500 horses, a configuration familiar with the M5 and the M6 range.
The Z9 will compete with the Audi R8 and the Mercedes SL range, which directly puts it in a tough competition zone, as the latter two have been the favorite picks of the auto geeks hailing from the sports car fraternity. It will debut somewhere between 2009 and 2010 and the German carmaker expects to sell 15,000 units.
If at all the ‘yellow race factor’ has to play a part in it’s unveiling, the resultant will be hopefully pleasing for BMW as the Z7 caused a sensation in the Tokyo Auto Show ten years ago, so what say guys! Will this latest Z9 Concept take the cake or will it be the previous Z9 variants, which will go into production.
