What do the speculators feed on! Gossips or rumors, but we too owe them a lot for they bring perkiness into our otherwise lousy verves. Day in and day out speculations keep floating and they add a tinge of animation to the routine droning life.
I’ve been through an abysmal patch off late as my scripts have been loaded with customary information and other than the news of Toyota ending GMs seven decade old supremacy there hasn’t been anything which has made me pop-out of my shell and take a bow .
A little self reconciliation has returned to my rescue as the latest buzz as mentioned by Autocar is the fact that BMW had plans to overtake Ford’s ally Volvo and as an evidence, the German biggie had requested a complete pecuniary data from a European Bank that takes care of Volvos fiscal records on behalf of Ford .
The big question really is, ‘was Bill Ford willing to sell Volvo’, which is personally one of his most admired brands and as they call it in Ford, Volvo is the company’s most radiant gem. In addition, what made BMW take such a drastic step as most of the products of these two companies are close competitors.
One verdict could possibly be the anxiety of BMW over Mini Cooper’s future. The company is fraught to expand Mini’s range from beyond a small car to apposite chain of cars. Even if they did plan to take over Volvo, the demons of the Range Rover deal would have surely returned to put them in a hesitant state, for Mini is the only survivor from that forgettable short-term union.
