Brabus showed off the Smart ForTwo based Ultimate High Voltage concept at the Geneva Motor Show, and now they have released details on what appears to be a production ready model. This all electric Smart, co-developed with Tesla Motors, will be powered from a 61kw (82 hp) motor that will also put up with 280Nm torque. The zero to 62 mph mark arrives in 9.8 seconds.
Now all-electric cars have a tendency to be silent, and Brabus got around the issue by giving the car an artificial sound generator that gives the car a roar like a V8 or a racing car. A Smart with a roar of a V8 may not be exactly suitable, but we’re inclined to think it would be kind of cute.
