It appears that the powerful monster called Veyron will finally appear in a Targa or Spider version. Rumors over the topless Veyron have been around for quite sometime, Autogespot rekindled the fire a couple of days ago when they speculated on the open-top Veyron, now they are sure that the topless Veyron actually is happening.
Bugatti has ordered 400 units of the mighty quad-turbo W16 engine, but only 300 Veyrons are scheduled to be built. This means the remaining hundred will be placed under the hood of an open-top version. Top speed of the targa variant will touch 340kmph. The drop in top speed is because the removal of the roof requires reinforcement and under body changes to maintain torsional rigidity.
Deliveries are expected to begin next year and if you want to buy one now, you are out of luck. All open Veyrons have already been sold.
