Visitors at the Beijing Auto Show 2008 were treated to a nice little surprise when Volkswagen AG subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS debuted the most exciting car in their kitty. Originally introduced in 2005, the Bugatti Veyron Targa holds the distinction of being the quickest accelerating (0-100km in 2.5 secs) and decelerating (407-0 km/h in 9.4 secs) road-legal production car in the world as well as being the most expensive mid-range sports car. Costing over 1.1 million euros plus taxes, the Veyron has already clocked a top speed of 407 km/h with its 16.4L thrusting out 1001hp/6000rpms. Amazing stats aside, the Veyron is sheer joy to look at either, and we really do envy all those Chinese people who got to view the beauty up close and in person!
