This piece of information certainly enhanced my automotive knowledge but what was disheartening to know is the fact that it is making our planet suffer. Ford F-150 pickup Truck is the best selling car in the world, alright.
The real problem lies in the revelation that it isn’t the entire world where it sells like hot cakes (107 units sold per hour on each day of the year), North America contributes the most to these whopping figures. Ford F-150 isn’t the best of contenders when it comes to talking about the MPGs; add this to the high selling rate and the world is doomed for sure.
There is a huge misconception because of their sturdy nature ofcourse, that these heavy duty monsters are safe whereas the ground reality is that the avant-garde cars are better equipped than these towers. Someone has to take initiative in spreading the awareness otherwise the F-150 would soon eat up on the non-renewable resource of petroleum.
The awareness part should come into play if the Detroit giant is unaware of the harm it is causing. A smarter thing could be that the company amends the way these gas-guzzlers are being manufactured, making them more economical if not safe, to say the least.
