Jaguar is not a car that you can just ignore as it passes by. For years, Jaguar has given designs to gaze at. Yet again, Jaguar’s alluring power will be tested when almost a decade old XK-8 would be replaced by the new 2007 XK which goes on sale next spring.
The redesigned car, with a high-tech aluminum body and chassis, made its debut as a coupe at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September; with a convertible version to be introduced in Detroit in January.
The styling of the new XK is pretty close in resemblance to the latest Aston Martin and the framework is similar to the old Taurus family sedans.
The new Jaguar carries a luxury-class price, many older models look reasonable when compared to the price of the exotic sports cars from the same era.
The XK8 that arrived in 1997 was powered by the first Jaguar V-8. The same type of engine will also be found in the 2007 XK.
