The growing popularity of diesel engines and the inherent tax benefits have prompted Porsche to come up with a diesel version of the Cayenne. Power will come from a 3.0-l V6 turbodiesel, which will generate 240hp and 406 pound-ft of torque. Transmission will be a standard Tiptronic-S automatic. The diesel model will have fuel efficiency figures at 25.3 mpg.
Cayenne diesel will initially start deliveries in Europe next February, with a price tag equivalent to $59,142. The German market will however, see a higher price of $70,640.
