nav n go ig08 3d navigation software for north america

Day two of the CES 2008 brought a pleasant surprise for North America. Nav N Go, the leading GPS navigation solution provider, today announced the release of it’s 3D navigation software for North America. The announcement paves way for North American hardware manufacturers to embed the advanced 3D navigation software in their navigation devices.

Nav N Go iG08, which has already earned a good reputation in Europe, features a powerful and advanced graphical engine that offers high-definition 3D navigation maps of terrain, road elevation, landmarks and buildings. It comes pre-loaded with millions of advanced points of interest (POI) and covers more than 70 countries globally.

With an easy-to-use interface and a host of integrated features like media player, games and travel guides, the Nav N Go iG08 is definitely the best navigation software available. The new version also features some additional features like text-to-speech capability and support for non-Latin characters such as Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese and Russian. It also features normal mode for less experienced users and expert mode for advanced users.

The advanced engine of the software does not need any specific hardware for installation and hence there should not be any compatibility issues with different navigation devices. The consumers might be able to start using the services by the second quarter of 2008 as V7 by Ingram Micro is all set to launch a customized version of Nav N Go iGO8 with their V7 GPS line of Portable Navigation Devices (PNDs) for North America.
