I love vintage cars. They look so elegant and stately and transport you to an era gone by almost instantly. But if you have ever had the opportunity to see one for real, then you’d also be rather familiar with their unique sounds that alarm, startle and downright scare you with their ferocity and unexpectedness. Just like this 1924 Stanley. The steam car is owned by a gent called Thomas Dawson who lives in Laconia, New Hampshire, and takes his jalopy out for a spin every once in a while.

Of course the car takes quite an effort to get started and chugs along at its own pace but the most spectacular part of the ride is defiantly the end when the car blows out a load of steam making you feel like you just arrived via a massive steam engine pulled train at a far off hill station in a colonial town!
