Are powerful engines with guaranteed fuel-efficiency the next big thing in American markets, the latest developments just portends a similar belief. Over the past few days I have spoken about a dozen commuters getting better engines and if it continues to happen I would definitely dub my notion as a trend.
The latest to get a few horses notched up under its belly is the Tahoe LTZ for Chevrolet. The Heavy tower now comes with a more powerful 6.2 liter V8 engine which puts out 380 horsepower. This one is now the most powerful engine offered in the Tahoe range.
Ed Pepper Chevrolet general Manager was contented with the latest offering as he quipped:
Tahoe LTZ’s new 6.2L engine highlights the wide range of choices available to Chevy customers. It also reinforces the Tahoe’s position as the most capable full-size SUV on the market.
All those 380 horses are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which makes sure that a good-fuel economy or a rather more fuel-saving economy is evident. The flagship Tahoe LTZ comes with a towing capacity of 7,900 pounds.
