Those of you living in California or closeby would probably know what the California Fuel Partnership is all about but there is still a large part of the country which is unaware of this group and the positive initiative taken by this public-private partnership to promote hydrogen vehicles.
With its headquarters located in West Sacramento, this group has been instrumental in establishing hydrogen fuel-cell as an effective alternative by opening refuelling stations and putting fuel-cell operated buses and cars on road.
The group has been swelling in terms of the number of members and to add to their tally of 34 member organizations, which include eight automakers, Chrysler LLC has now joined the laudable group.
Commenting on the company’s decision to join the organisation, Mark Chernoby, Chrysler vice president of advanced vehicle engineering, stated:
Of the fuel sources on the table for long-term future use in transportation, hydrogen holds the greatest promise. Collaborations such as the California Fuel Cell Partnership will help engineers develop solutions for this technology at an accelerated rate.
Seeing the rate at which this organisation has succeeded in promoting fuel cells, other giant automakers will inevitably join this proactive group sooner or later, with the advantage falling into the hands of those who act quickly.
