Come the NAIAS and Chrysler is ready to capture the show. Known for its showmanship at Detroit’s Cobo Center, the marque with the pentastar is in no mood to let go this time as well. This time around, Chrysler won’t be smashing windows like it did in 1992 with the Jeep Grand Cherokee and in 2006 with Jeep Wrangler.
This time, Chrysler LLC wants to herd cattle down Jefferson Avenue for the unveiling of the redesigned Dodge Ram. The Ram is a very important vehicle in this automaker’s lineup, so Chrysler will try to get all the attention it can for the redesigned vehicle.
Though there is no official word yet either from Chrysler or the Auto Show, insiders say it could look like ‘Red River’. As of now, the idea has not received city approval and a spokesperson for the Mayor’s office says there was no written request for such an event.
