
The news that Chrysler is a bankrupt automaker was doing rounds in the last couple of weeks and the air was given impetus by few of its own officials who revealed that the company would loose $1 billion by the end of this year and the figure later resurfaced as $1.6 billion.
Chrysler had big issues with this info as it believed that such revelations make the investors and the interested parties loose faith in the company. The company clarified that there financial position was stable as it mentioned in a statement:
The Company is not only meeting, but, in many cases, exceeding its financial targets heading into 2008. Several recent media reports had painted an inaccurate picture of Chrysler LLC’s current financial position.
The company maintained that it had immense and unrelenting support from parent Cerberus as well as its other partner Daimler AG.
