As the first official images of the upcoming offering from Citroen, the C5 made it to the internet it created vibes around in the auto world. The duo Citroen C5 midsize saloon and wagon have made an official press debut. The car will be making it to the people after it makes its public debut at the Brussels motor show in January next year.
Its petrol version flourishes a 127hp 1.8L four-cylinder, a 143hp 2.0L version and a 215hp 3.0L V6. The diesel variants will be offering four different engines, which range from 110hp to 208hp for a new HDI V6 model.
The machine comes loaded with 330mm disc brakes for the front and 304mm discs for the rear, Citroen third generation hydraulic suspension which improves the ride by an automatic adjusting system that makes its moves with the determination of shocks depending in the speed of the vehicle. The C5 is a little larger than the previous car, stretching to an overall of 4.78m in length and 1.86m at width, also it comes with a larger 2.82m wheelbase.
Its styling can be traced back to the Citroen C5 Airscape concept, which made an appearance at last months’ Frankfurt Motor Show. And just like the concept it can also have a two door folding hard top version, but that still has to get an official nod.
