Citroen’s C-Cactus concept is enthralling visitors of the Auto China 2008 and is doing so in an eco-friendly way. The C-Cactus looks more like BMW’s Mini Cooper than any other previous Citroen and the C-Cactus has plenty of unconventional touches all around. The front end looks a little like the Porsche Cayenne with big eggish headlamps and moving to the rear, this car has the tail-lamps that sit very high at almost the top of it’s rear. Now, let’s get in to the stuff that gives the C-Cactus it’s unconventionality. The C-Cactus uses very few parts thus saving on a lot of materials to make this car minimal and environment friendly.

You do have a lot of natural materials being used like the cork doormats, etc, which further give a fillip to this car’s nature friendly form. Once you get into this car, you will find options of two engines, a conventional diesel and an unconventional electric engine. You can putter around town with the 30HP electric motor and once you decide to hit the highway, you could switch over to the reasonably clean burning diesel mill. Thus, saving a lot of cash on fuel and also doing your bit to reduce emissions. Though the C-Cactus is still a concept, it looks promising enough to be put into production in the future.

I don’t like the design. Minus the paint. But I’m always thinking how much money do they use to build a concept car.
